Yay!! Yesterday I went to the oral surgeon and he told me that I was healed "enough" to resume normal activities and a normal diet. Wahoo! Although, that whole "normal" thing might be a little hard. Last time I checked I'm far from normal. Have you seen my hair lately? haha. Well, that's the good news! 6 weeks is saturday, so that is really when I'm healed, but the sooner the better, right?
Also, if you or someone you know is going to be having this surgery or anything like it feel absolutely free to email me or call me. I would love to talk with you/them. I've also had a tongue surgery where they clipped some from the underneath it because I was... tonguetied? Is that the word? I can't remember, but I had that surgery in 5th grade and there are more to come. I'm going to have to have a bone graft and some implants. So I'm almost done! (That may seem like a lot to you, but to me it seems like almost done. haha)
In this complex, crazy world we live in, sometimes we have to live off the God-given simple things.

Okay so my friend, mother, at Turning Points tagged me in this meme.
Here are the tag rules:
1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Write six random things about yourself.
4. Tag six people at the end of your post and link to them.
5. Let each person know they've been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Here goes:
1. I like to write fiction and devotionals. I also play oboe. :)
2. I have blue eyes and I get comments on that a lot, but I think I've recieved more comments on my pink hair lately. I think it stands out just a little bit more than blue eyes, but just a tiny bit.

4. I still play with play-doh and I'm 15.

5 Weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wahoo! One more week! I'm soooooo excited. I have an appointment with the oral surgeon on Wednesday and he will give me the official okay there. Hopefully all is it seems. :)It takes 6 weeks for a bone to heal, so techically I have another full week of recovery left, but officially 4 more days. I'm so ready to be able to do what I want. I want to go to six flags. Does anyone want to go to six flags with me? Or go to have a steak dinner. Next Saturday, let's go. haha. Maybe not, but I'm still so excited.
God has enormously blessed me this summer. I'm going to write a "full" ( i guess you could say) testimony later, but He has given me a speedy recovery and has even allowed me to play my oboe. Thank you my dear Lord! He is good and there is power in prayer I can promise you that right now. It's up to God overall what to do, but sometimes God will provide us with miracles, but we need to have a servant's heart. King Hezekiah prayed that God would be with them in a war that seemed impossible to win and he said he wanted it to be so that everyone would see GOD'S POWER AND GLORY!! And God was there. My friends that called me and sent me notes have a servant's heart. Thank you for your prayers. I really should stop before I start preaching as I sometimes accidentally do, but thank you everyone. I love you bunches. <3

Yes or No
Me: You know you are strange when you are inspired by a bottle of shampoo.
Bro and Mom: A bottle of shampoo?
Me: Yes
Bro and Mom: A bottle of shampoo?
Me: Yes
Yes or No
As you all know, it is a very hot day in Lawrenceville, GA. So, like most of probably, I took a shower after the morning service of Campmeeting. We just bought a bottle of clarifying shampoo for my pink hair and I was reading what it said. It was talking about how it removes gunk without damaging your hair. That's good, I thought to myself. Then it said "Say yes to beautiful without paying the price". Hm.
Satan says the same thing to us, "Say yes to sin without paying the price". Satan convinces people that there is no God so it doesn't matter if you sin. Or that you won't get caught so do whatever you want. He tells us we can do all this stuff without "paying the price" of hell or earthly consequences.
It kind of reminds me of the anti-drug organization that says, "Just say no [to drugs]", but it's even more than that. Just say no to alcoholism, smoking or any sort of addiction. Just say no to lying, cheating and stealing. Just say no to sin. Just say no.
Now while that is easier said than done (like most things), we need to try wholeheartedly to just say NO! We WILL mess up, but we need to try. In the long run it will actually benefit you. I guess it comes down to knowing who to say yes to and who to say no to. Do you say yes to Jesus or sin? Who will you say yes to?
